Custom Website Photos. Here’s what that looks like…
A Photographic Journey with Boulder Crest Foundation: Capturing the Heart of Heroism
Boulder Crest Foundation is an extraordinary organization dedicated to aiding military veterans and their families. As a volunteer photographer, I’ve been honored to contribute to their cause for several years. Recently, I had the privilege of doing branding photos for their new website launch by creating custom website photos for them.
The Essence of Custom Photography
Instead of standard stock photos, Boulder Crest wanted to use custom images. This approach aimed to showcase the warmth and authenticity of their facility. On the day of the session, I arrived hours before sunset, eager to capture the essence of this amazing place.
An Unexpected Adventure
Unexpectedly, the photo session turned into a hike to the overlook. The plan was to photograph the veterans helping each other over various obstacles along the way. With temperatures soaring over 90 degrees, my two cameras in tow, and just basic sneakers on, this was indeed a surprise. Yet, it was an adventure filled with joy and camaraderie.
The Unplanned Hike
Despite the heat and the unexpected hike, the experience was incredibly rewarding. We couldn’t wait for the sunset at the overlook, as it would be too dark for our hike down. Nevertheless, the photos turned out great.
Capturing Bonds and Heroism
Capturing the veterans’ journey and the relationships they built was deeply touching. It was more than just a photoshoot; it was a window into the bonds formed in the face of adversity. These images, now used on their website and various marketing materials, tell a story of resilience and camaraderie.
In conclusion, working with Boulder Crest Foundation was an enriching experience. It highlighted the importance of genuine, custom imagery in conveying the spirit of an organization. Also, the photos we captured are a testament to the strength and warmth of the community Boulder Crest has built for our veterans and their families.
