This financial advisor branding photography session may be one of my favorite sessions so far, but not for reasons you think. I recently had the unique opportunity to step into a dual role for a branding session—both as a photographer and as a wife. I’m excited to share the experience of capturing branding photos for none other than my husband, Philip Sessoms. Philip is a dedicated financial advisor, and together, we embarked on a mission to showcase the many facets of his professional life.
First off, we wanted to highlight Philip’s deep connection to our community. We chose the iconic black fence as a backdrop for some of his shots. This fence isn’t just a physical boundary; it’s a symbol of home and community here. Those photos by the fence? They’re a nod to Philip being more than a financial advisor; he’s a neighbor, a friend.
Then, we moved inside to capture Philip in his element. Just like the session I mentioned with Sophia, we utilized our office space, aiming for a very casual vibe. It was essential to depict Philip not just as a professional but as someone clients can easily relate to. We focused on creating images that felt approachable, showcasing him in scenarios that clients might find themselves in.
This session was all about balancing professionalism with personality. We wanted potential clients to see Philip as not only skilled and knowledgeable but also as someone who genuinely cares about his community and the individuals he advises. It’s this blend of expertise and approachability that truly sets him apart.
Reflecting on this session, it’s clear that personal branding photography is about so much more than just a good headshot. It’s about telling a story, your story. For Philip, it was about bridging his professional and personal worlds, showing potential clients the man behind the financial plans.
