The Turley family was an absolute blast at their spring family photoshoot! I photographed them for the cover of the Front Porch Living Magazine, and was excited to give this cover a unique touch as a lifestyle photographer! The Turley family and I live in the same community in Willowford so I’m so happy to have connected with them during this session.
About the Family
The Turleys were so much fun! They were very silly with a lot of laughter and joking, and they were willing to try anything for this photoshoot. I loved seeing the connection between them as I captured them. It was clear to me that this is an affectionate, close-knit family.
“Our family loves to do activities together, whether it be outside riding, biking, playing ball, going on walks, fishing, or heading to the local playground. Inside we love movie night and board games. Last year we started a boat club rental and used it all season – we can’t wait for it to start this month again. The kids love swimming in the lake when we dock!”
Outfits for Spring Family Photoshoots
The family opted to keep things slightly more casual for this shoot, but they all still looked very nice! Mom wore a beautiful spring dress that I especially loved.
When you’re putting together your own outfits for a family photoshoot in the spring, coordination is key! You don’t necessarily want to plan to wear all matching outfits, but sticking with a complimenting palette for the whole family will really tie things together.
Cedar Pond Pavilion
Cedar Pond Pavilion was the Turley family’s choice of location because it’s close to their home. It’s never been featured on the cover of the magazine before, and they love spending time there as a family walking the trails and hanging out. This is such a scenic spot for family photos any time of year!
I’m so excited to see this magazine cover come together. This cover is going to be so unique from the others for this magazine! The Turley’s told me they loved having a more candid photo that represented them and their sense of fun.
